HEREFORD JUNIORS DO WELL IN WALES

At the Welsh Schools Indoor Rowing Championships on Friday 2nd December, Ed Rees and Eleanor Scott won Gold and Bronze medals in boys J16 and girls J15 events respectively. They were rowing for Bishops School.

Then on Saturday in the Welsh Open Indoor Rowing Championships, Stephen Griffiths won the Boys J17 event in a time of 6:47 – which would have got him a silver medal in the J18 event as well! Charlotte Hodgkins-Byrne won gold in the girls J15 event. Older sister Mathilda won the girls J17 event – beating all the J18 girls times in the process. In fact she had the 3^rd fastest time for any women (junior or senior) on the day and would have got silver medals in the Women’s Open and Women’s U23 events had she entered those as well!
